Grandma's Iris Flower Bed
The Iris is the Tennessee State Flower
Oh how my Grandma loved flowers. She had flower beds everywhere. It was sometimes a point of contention between my grandparents, her love of flowerbeds. She had a habit of planting a bunch of flowers out in the middle of the yard then putting some rocks around them and calling it a flower garden. This made it hard for my grandfather to mow. One of many examples of the battle of wills they waged.
